High Limits Series announce early dates for 2023

By Brandon Paul - By After much anticipation, the High Limit Sprint Car Series has started to release details about the series' inaugural season. On Monday evening, High Limit officials announced the first three events on the 2023 schedule.

First up on the schedule will be the season opener on Tuesday, April 11 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS. The event will pay $50,000 to win and feature many of the biggest names in sprint car racing.

From there the series will make its way to 34 Raceway for a $23,023-to-win race on Tuesday, April 25.

The final announced date will see the series competing for another $23,023 payday at Kokomo Speedway on Tuesday, May 2.

The High Limit Sprint Car Series is a mid-week racing series promoted by 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and four-time World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet. With a mission to grow sprint car racing and inject more money into the sport, the two drivers turned promoters were off and running.

Following an announcement about the formation of the series in July, the series promoted the inaugural High Limit Open at Lincoln Park Speedway on August 16. Buddy Kofoid won the inaugural event and pocketed more than $23,500 in the process.

A second event, the Sheldon Haudenschild High Limit Buckeye Brawl, was scheduled to take place at Wayne County Speedway on September 27. However, that event was ultimately canceled due to weather.

Now, after months of preparation, Larson and Sweet are ready to deliver the 12-race schedule they promised for the inaugural season in 2023.

As announced Monday, it will all begin with $50,000 on the line at Lakeside Speedway on April 11.
